  1. Not sure if I'll be bringing my bike yet. I'm struggling a bit with distances due to surgery I had last year... However, it's a possibility if I get to grips with riding again in the next couple of months and I take my time over the journey, so watch this space... To be honest, the purpose of the trip is a few days away somewhere nice and the fact that I haven't been there before. If I can add biking to it, then all well and good, but if I can't I'll still go. I have a 'special reason' for wanting to get away by myself that weekend... Anyway, I'll get cracking on looking at hotels and stuff. Thanks for all the advice...
  2. He's only about my age. I told him he had a gorgeous arse once. What was I thinking...?
  3. Thanks, that looks like a really useful website. By the looks of it there is a fair bit of availability on the dates I have in mind within my budget. Is there a good area to aim for? To be honest, I've never really been. I've driven through on the way to Stranraer but never stopped off before...

    Ouch! That looks expensive. Unlucky...
  6. Cheers Jade. Would prefer a hotel to a B&B, but I guess it depends on cost. Don't really want to pay more than £300 for 3 nights... Didn't realise there's an airshow on. I guess I'll have to book pretty soon and be prepared for traffic. I'll probably end up taking the car anyway. It looks a bit too much of a journey for the bike...
  7. Sorry, not going to make it out on t'bike now. Shopping and housework got in the way. Plus the weather forecast is rubbash tomorrow. Oh well. Another time... Hope yas all had a great day...
  8. Yeah, could do that if people want a coffee stop on their way back. I expect most of you will want to get back though and get ready for Satdy night out...
  9. Hey Korb, bit early for me hun. Was thinking of a couple of hours out tomorrow afternoon if the weather's up to it, that's all. I'll join yas on a rideout at some point, I'm just not ready for it yet. Need to take my time and gradually get back into it... Have a good day and keep it sticky side down...
  10. Bless yas. Any information gratefully received. No need for a couch Drago matey, I'm more than happy to pay for a hotel for a 'special' occasion...
  11. I'm thinking of a long weekend at the end of July in the Lakes. Originally was planning to go to Ireland, but that's looking a bit out of budget... The advantage of the Lakes is that maybe, just maybe, I might be able to ride that far on my bike. Are the roads nice, or will they be jam-packed with caravans and tourists in the height of summer...? Also, can anyone recommend any nice hotels in the area that won't charge me double for being on my own? I can find some on t'interweb, just wondered if anyone had any recommendations...
  12. Could meet people at Matlock for a swift cuppa tomorrow, but not the Cat, too far away and I hate that road...
  13. You can watch BSB online at channel4.com, but it's not live, it's just the highlights show...
  14. Probably not, as I wouldn't be able to get there until late, by which time you lot will probably have already left...
  15. Spud, you can watch WSB live on the internet. I'm hoping BSB will do the same one day...
  16. Nice to drop by at Willow and Akey's and say hi to everyone (and resist the puddings, how good am I?). Glad yas all had a good n safe ride...
  17. Lovely day for it. Hoping to go and meet up with them in a bit, but still got tons to do...
  18. Hoping to make it to Matlock at 2 for a swift cuppa and hello...
  19. If I fly over to Dublin that week (minor possibility as it's something of a 'special' week), I might be able to squeeze in a 700 calorie pint with yas...?
  20. Is there a definitive plan for this? I can't spare all day but I may be able to put in an appearance in the morning. No pudding for me ta. I'm on a post-Skeggy health kick...
  21. JT was quite funny at Butlins on Friday night describing his lack of popularity in the motoGP paddock...
  22. 20:20 rule for me, although I rarely ride my bike in heavily congested areas...
  23. Evenings not usually possible for me, as I don't get home from work 'til 7.30. Soz...
