  1. No he just propped it up , but I rang him and told him to just put my exhaust on ....as that's the only change been made ...he rang before firing it up an I barely heard it crank before she fired up so happy days he hadn't trashed my bike ......but guessing the end can he has is really restricted or blocked , thanks for the replies and suggestions ...just gotta sort out the rich running now
  2. Got a bit more info so he went to change the plugs for me with it smelling rich but didn't have a socket small enough ...so he removed the air box,and the 2nd coil realised his socket won't fit and put it back together....from what I've seen on video call everything is back correctly, no mods standard filter , it's was a micron end can from po
  3. Hi folks hope all is well , so 99 gsxr 750 was running great only issue was it smelt really really rich , anyway leant the bike to a friend for a bit and in return he gave me an original 750 end can which he put on , so he went to ride out today and it wouldn't start ....when it did it sounded like it was on 1 cylinder and now it just backfires really really loud ....I'm stumped as when I dropped it off it ran really well
  4. Not seen it yet but got it saved to watch later, ain't had any time to play yet though a friend of a friend sold me his old 750 calipers and MC so put that on .
  5. You can buy rust converters that will stop the rust , sand away what you can then apply the rust killer then repaint, some won't even damage the paint ....some will strip it right off so do a test 1st
  6. Or I'll lose my mind trying so if I go quiet please send help to the local Staffordshire asylum
  7. All new steel hoses, washers, and banjo bolts all done up with a torque wrench. Got it all steipped off the bike now as I'm gonna swap the whole system out , so now I can bench test the whole system over and over and just see whats causing the issue
  8. Might have to grab those thanks , just stripping the brakes off now gonna do one last rebuild ......just incase , I have noticed this scratch in the MC .....not sure if it would cause the issue I'm having
  9. Yeah that's what I'm hoping to get , shame would have liked to keep it as stock as I can (even though someone's put an awful under tail thing on it .... luckily one that keeps the original rear light)
  10. The new pattern lever came today ....it is a bit better ....takes a lot more force to pull the lever to the bar ,but it can be done Thanks for the help and suggestions folks but I'm gonna just swap the whole front system .
  11. She is an old girl now ..I don't know if these levers are prone to bending or just snapping , maybe it's a combo of worn parts and a slight bend , I've ordered a used lever and a set of pattern parts so I can compare .
  12. I'm in Staffordshire, everyone I know that rides is stumped , ones an ex bike mech lol .
  13. Depends on the visor ....I brought a plastic headlight restoration kit for this kind of thing .....turns out a new visor was £7 cheaper lol
  14. Yeah it does feel real sketchy shimming , think I'm just gonna replace the front brakes completely.
  15. Lever end is a little worn ....piston is fine ,I've noticed the adjuster wheel is also a little loose ...so maybe a couple mm here and there is all adding up . I'd love to ride to Scotland...but when it warms up a little
