  2. I'm always on the Xbox One, luckily the missus doesn't mind!

Love a good racing game, 90% of my library is made up of them. Currently juggling my time between:

Forza Motorsport 6/Horizon 3/ Project Cars/ Ride 2/ Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered/ Titanfall 2.

  3. Glad the bulbs helped. What did you go for?

I had a similar thing with my first car, standard bulbs were dreadful. After putting in some Osram Nightbreakers it was totally transformed. So much so my Mum and Dad had me order and fit for their cars also.

I also run a night breaker plus in the bike, much better than the crap it had in it. [emoji106]

  4. I remember reading a lot of discussions on the internet about a common problem that YBR's have with battery charging. Might be worth searching the net as it is quite a common problem I believe. I haven't had any trouble with my YBR though.. not yet anyway! Changing to a higher capacity battery is fine. The starter will only draw what current it needs. I'd be interested to know what the trouble was once you get it sorted. Could be just an old battery. I had to replace my car battery last year as it was 8 years old and the car was struggling to start. New battery solved it. EDIT: at least yours has a kick start.. wish mine did in case of battery failure :(

Mine never had a kick start and it refused to start after I had just finished test riding another bike ... fortunately it was a Yamaha dealer who inspected it and the wiring look was toast!

Anyway, OP, I have also read about the YBR charging issues else where. Is there anywhere you can borrow multimeter from? If not, I think Halfords and some car garages will do a free battery check.

  5. My trick for getting the U turn to work without putting my foot down was to basically look behind me.

So, do a life saver. Into gear and set off, do another life saver but this time, keep looking back. Turn the bars and the bike will turn, you don't need much throttle, keep the clutch covered and pull it in slightly if you gain too much speed. Generally you will find that going a bit faster makes it easier than going to slow. The wheels spinning keeps the bike upright.

Have a look at this video to see what I mean about going quicker helps keep the bike upright.

Exactly this for me, I failed MOD 1 as I put my footdown on the U-Turn.

Sam, I can see you are based just up the road in MK. Where are you doing your MOD 1, Leighton Buzzard?

  6. Clicking on the orange Icons will take you straight to the last unread post on a thread

I notice you are using the subsilver style there is other styles that work better with slightly larger buttons

as for the text if people find it a problem I could probably tweak it so it clearer or larger

I'm not trying to convert you but the way things are looking I don't know if tapatalk will be on here in the future!

There is an updated software available for the forum and currently tapatalk doesn't work with it nor do I know if it ever will as nothing has been mentioned I don't plan on upgrading the software just yet anyway so tapatalk will continue to work for now but I really don't know what the future will hold

I just want tapatalk users to know that the forum does work in a browser

As a side note I just leave tabs open in chrome and you can slide the address bar left to right to flick through tabs. There is no need to close the tabs down either just hit the home button on the phone to close it and when you reopen chrome everything is just how you left it and all you have to do is pull down on the page to refresh!

Good to know the forum works on mobile browsers, I browse daily on tapatalk so would be nice if they could sort something to be compatible with the update (convenience because of the push notifications) :D

  7. I ahve a Qwest, imo, the weight is as important as the fit.

It's a fairly light helmet (compared to cheaper helmets i owned) and that along with the comfortable fit made the difference for me.

Not what you were asking but my 2 pence none the less.

Same here, although I have the NXR instead of the Qwest. I found the lightness is one of the things that make it so comfortable, when compared with my old HJC.

Have a look on LIDS Direct or Sportbikeshop. SBS will normally match any other offer you can find on the internet (there is a link to contact them for a price match on their website) their service is also incredibly good from the dealings I've had. From my experience the only time i've seen big reductions on Shoei Helmets are at the bike shows, perhaps that's something to check out as I believe the one at the ExCel (London) is on in Feb.
