Back on topic there seems to be some good reviews of j&s and from what I've seen of their online stuff it looks decent too.

I run a car aswell as my bike and it is so much more expensive. The bike is my toy, albeit 125cc at the moment

I have a YBR125, which with heavy wind will sit at 62 ish. I've seen 70 not windy. Didn't push it any further. Go for the DAS route. You already have some experience so should be a good move. As others have said then you can get whatever you want and not worry about restrictions

I'm guessing your best bet will be a courier. The dimensions you give, height wise you may struggle to get it into a normal van unless it is a high top. Unless you could hire a van, from enterprise etc. Courier may be the best option

What size bike? 125 yes on a cbt over that I don't think so..

I've w watched quite a few of his videos very informative and seems a nice guy. He has another channel for personal stuff and its good to see he doesn't stay in instructor mode all the time

You don't have to do the theory test in order to do your cbt.

As for starting on a geared 125, do it! You won't regret it. I started out last year, I knew nothing about bikes, they have two wheels and are nothing like a car but riding a bike is something I've always wanted to do since young. I got to my CBT, and before I knew it it was the end of the day and I could ride about, sketchily but however I thought it was a personal achievement. I did Go back for some more time on the bike before my road ride because I was really nervous - once out on the road it was so enjoyable!

Sorry for the life story but definitely start on a geared 125. Will be good practice for when you get your own.

One thing I would suggest is to read up on the highway code just so you have a good idea of how being on the road should work (two lads on my CBT had to come back because they hadn't a clue how the road worked, however as I had a car licence for 2 years - the difference showed)

Good luck, mate. Don't let your nerves get to you and you should be fine. I was unlucky on my first go because I was one kph out both times on the emergency stop (on a cg125). Second time I got nervous and put a foot down in the u turn! Doh, what licence you taking?
