  1. Ooooops - oh dear!
  2. Absolutely!! Hein Gericke stuff is certainly not cheap! As Colin says, whatever you buy should do the job it's supposed to do. IMO I would be asking them to replace it - velcro should NOT be coming off after such a short time. As you say, you need the jacket - it's not like people will have a spare. Stick to your guns too if they try to wriggle out of it. Trading Standards will support you.
  3. The actual 'being on a bike as opposed to a car' part of riding is not much different on a bigger bike than it is on a 125 - you still have to do all the things that you would when riding a 125. The difference you'll find is in the power/speed/handling. Best advice is to do CBT, get a 125 and get road experience on a bike first, then have lessons/do test on a bigger bike if you can. The experience on a 125 will hopefully help reduce the amount of training you need, thus reducing the overall cost
  4. That's great news!! Well done!
  5. Thanks very much Jo! I've just changed my mind about which jacket to buy - ordered a different one online! Naughty Susie!! Didn't say whether it had full or half zip tho, so may still have to get it sorted!
  6. Know what you mean - sometimes you get both parts of the zip so you can adapt the jacket/trousers. But no, the trousers only have the 'bottom' part of the zip, so to speak! What a pain!!
  7. Ok, so this might be a bit of a wally question but I've not had this issue before. I've just bought some new Richa Freedom ladies leather trousers and am planning to buy a Richa leather jacket when they've got one in my size, cos I find their clothing fits me better than any other. Was told by the woman in the shop that all Richa zips are compatible with each other, but here lies the problem! The trousers have a half zip but the jacket has a full zip. Will these actually zip together? I can't picture how they could! My old leathers both had full zips and my textiles are different makes so don't match anyway. Don't wanna buy if they're not going to zip together!!
  8. Oooooo - just a little bit!!
  9. Rennie & realised we haven't paid - it was for something else! Rennie's sending another cheque
  10. Will consult Rennie about this one! Made sticky Neil!
  11. Oh yes I think so! Missed 2nd race and managed to nod off while watching 3rd but from what I've seen the results were rather favourable! Mind you, after getting 1st & 2nd in last MotoGP results and still going down the table I'm not too sure we'll move up!!
  12. Well done Welshtoffi!! You're not the only one who finds the clutch control/revs thing tricky - I certainly did! Especially on the slow manouveurs(sp) but it does get better!
  13. I wanna know if we get points for all 3 races??
  14. Great news!! Pain in the wotsit about the bike though!!
  15. Moved to Bike Chat
  16. Enhanced Rider Scheme?? Thanks! Thought it might be something like that but never seen the anachronism before!
  17. Ah right - gotcha!! Well there's nothing to stop you picking up a cheapish 125 to get some experience on. If you buy well, they hold their value and you can probably sell it for same as you paid!!
  18. excuse my ignorance, but whats ERS??
  19. Well done!! Bit confused as to what you mean by the 'next parts'?????
  20. Hiya Rich - great time had by all! Hope to see you and Sam around soon!
  21. Well done!! Just in time for the wonderful summer weather!!
  22. Just don't give up! It'll all come to you eventually. I found things tricky, especially the slow riding but got there in the end!
  23. Fantastic effort Fleat for a very worthwhile cause! Well done to you and your fellow bikers - hope the recovery doesn't take too long!! Will donate on the JustGiving site
