  1. Have got MFN number from the website and phoned that a few times. Surely they must pick up messages?? If anyone knows any other numbers I can call then I'd be glad to hear!!
  2. Hope Rennie doesn't mind me crashing in on the organising , but I've heard back from Cadbury World. It opens at 10am on 14/3/09 and the prices are Peak rate. We need a minimum of 15 paying people - can be a combination of adults/paying children. So if you've said you're coming, please turn up or we might not get the discounted rates!! Good news though - we don't have to pre-pay, can pay when we get there. We do have to book a tour time though so I've stuck my neck out and provisionally booked this for 12 noon, cos the next available slot isn't until 3.20pm! We can go in any time before that though, and they're open til 5.30pm. Hoping this suits everyone and isn't too early a start for those who've got further to travel!
  3. Cheers Sluggsy! Not sure yet whether we're gonna do our own Rally or just join in with an event they've already got organised. Wish someone would get in touch with me - dunno how else to get to speak to anyone, cos MFN doesn't open until April
  4. Ok, a quick update ish on this and to let you know that I AM on the case!! I've phoned & left messages/emailed several times to try and find out available dates and/or what events they have planned at MFN, but to date no-one has called me back! Will pass on any info as soon as I get some myself!
  5. Great Kevin! Is that 2 paying children? I've phoned Cadbury World to get a bit more info - eg do the 15 for group booking have to be adults or can they be combination of paying children/adults. And is the date we plan to go peak or off peak. This will determine the price we pay. Hopefully someone will call me back soon!!
  6. no they don't really - just don't want a normal builders type vest! The zip vests like Rosie has got fit quite snugly and can be adjusted I think, so they don't flap about.
  7. Thanks Mark - they look good too!! Oh dear - decisions, decisions!!
  8. just read website properly - please ignore the above questions Rosie!
  9. @ Cruz!!! Cheers for the link Rosie - I remember noticing yours and thinking it looked good! There are some nice designs and I like the way they zip rather than velcro. As well as being Hi-Viz, are the white designs reflective - and how do the sizes compare to girlie sizes? Should get TMBF ones!!!!
  10. Thanks Tim - looks quite good. Think we bought my friend something similar for use on her pushbike! As for size - think I'll need a good few up from that ATM!
  11. Prices for group rates are maximum of: £10.30 per adult £8.10 per child Might be less, depending on whether they class the date we're going as Peak or Off-Peak - can't find out from their website! Children are 4 - 15yrs inclusive, under 4's are free. We need 15 or more paying people to qualify for group discount.
  12. Me - one adult (or child when it comes to chocolate!! )
  13. I had loads of trouble with U turns - found the whole counterbalancing thing unnatural, but once I started listening to the instructor properly and not listening to my own head I found it a lot easier! I did mine on 125 and also did some on 500 - as others have said, plenty of back brake but with 125 you need plenty of revs too. I tried dropping the revs but it didn't work - only dropped me!!
  14. Good idea Craig, but can't afford a new lid - mine's not very old anyway. Its patterned but only black/grey/white!
  15. I'm looking for some suggestions for something to wear over my textiles to make sure I can be seen! My jacket and trousers are all black, and I only have little reflectors on the knees of my trousers. Not keen on those band thingys and bearing in mind I'm a girlie, looks/image plays an important part in my choice!
  16. Just checked out website - depending on whether they class that weekend as Peak or Off-Peak, group prices are £10.30 per adult for Peak & £9 per adult for Off-Peak. We'd need a minimum of 15 adults to get that rate, and tickets have to be booked and paid for in advance.
  17. I'll try and find out Phil - will email or something. I'll also check to confirm party booking prices etc.
  18. Definitely!! I've been a couple of times before but where choccie is involved I'm a pushover!!
  19. I've got contacts for occasional use - I only need specs for driving/distance but I don't feel comfortable wearing them on a bike. Maybe because I don't wear them regularly. I bought a Shoei lid because of the fit with my specs. Tried others (cheaper!) before buying but as said, Shoei have a little gap where specs go. Don't have a problem with specs steaming up, only visor!
  20. Ok Boss!!
  21. Yep - I'm definitely up for being pro-active! Have spare time in the evenings when I'm kicking my heels and bored so I'd be grateful for something to get my teeth into!! Oh God - what a team!!
  22. Tried one of the back protectors on - seems to fit pretty well so bought one! £14.67!! If it doesn't fit/work right under my jacket etc at least its only £15 wasted!
  23. House permitting its ok with me Rennie!!
  24. You're learning fast Honey!!!!
  25. Reckon blokes only pi55 out of the window because they can, not because they need to!!!!
