Guest Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 First weak area;Spelling.Sorry, but i really don't feel the motivation to help you :/EDIT;Fine, i'll give my two pennies worth; The hazard perception section of the theory test is a series of 14 shot clips, ranging of different lengths, all including one major hazard, and one clip includes two major hazards.Simply click every time you see a possible hazard (for example, you see a car in the distance pulling out), and click every time that hazard becomes worse. For example; You see a car in the distance coming to a junction, to join your road. You see him stop, look, and then pull out anyway. You click when you see him coming to the junction. You click when he pulls out. You click when the hazard forces you to stop, change direction e.t.c.Basically, you click whenever you see something that may force you to change direction. When you do the test, there will be an instructional video showing you how to complete the test.Good luck. Guest Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Get a driving test/theory DVD, got me through mine! Quote
Guest Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Some practice papers... lolhttp://www.theory-test.co.uk/asp/hazard ... n_info.asphttp://www.all4bikers.com/theory/theory_reg.php Quote
Guest Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Go buy a CD from a bike training centre, they will only stock the useful ones - avoid the 'official' guide.I found the CD very useful, it gives you an idea how to do the test. Quote
stedan Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Vicki has some CD-ROMs in the TMBF library. You can rent them rather than buy a copy!Good Luck Quote
Pete Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 That wasn't very nice about the spelling comments! Naughty bad man. I agree with what's been said about practising with some 'proper' clips on a DVD. What stedan said about borrowing off Vicki is a good idea. Or if you can't wait or feel like you want your own DVD then Halfords have a section on the motorcycle tests (nestled with the cars last time I looked!). I've still got my DVD and have lent it out to a few mates whilst doing their tests. I sometimes put it on if I'm ever so bored!I think people get worried about the hazard perception more than they need to. It's really quite simple but is usually explained in such a way that it sounds complicated. If you've been driving for a while then you'll already be aware (hopefully!) of what a hazard is, you just need to apply that to the video clips.Good luck with it and keep us all posted with how you get on Quote
satnavsatnav Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 As long as you leave a tiny gap between clicks (1 sec) you should be ok i did it the other week nothing to get worried about.Good look m8 Quote
Susieque Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Yeah apparently you have to be a bit careful about clicking too much because that can cause a no score! I was very wary of that when i did mine! Quote

lingy3 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Well doneI already posted on another thread about my theory, failed yesterday, can't get the hang of the clicking bit hazards perception, too slow or too fast, got 2 cheats, put back in next week its not gona beat me. Did you have a case scenario, mine was about pizza delivery in the dark, but as I already posted, the Questions opposite that seemed totally unrelated i.e "If you droped your helmet & it was scratched & damaged , what would you do?" followed by usual multiple choice, can't see the point. Guest Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Dont forget the forum has hazard perception, theory dvds, cdroms and highway code to loan out for a deposit and small fee. Quote
