Why on earth would you go to all the trouble of replacing a monoshock and use a 13 year old second hand unit. Get yours refurbished.

The VFR has evolved and changed almost yearly to where it is now. It may be lees stress and cost to replace with pattern parts. Pattern levers aren't dear.

Colin, Colin, Colin, may I remind you that it is moi you are speaking to and not some spanner monkey. Could you please translate your post into a language I can understand. If you could keep it to 2 syllables or less I would be grateful.

Don't put knackered old shite on your bike. Get your old one mended.

The right new part can work out cheaper than the wrong second hand part.

People other than Honda make bits for your bike. 8-)

:stupid:

OK for the things you have already hinted as, find a suspension specialist - the suspension should be regarded as a complete system, if you change anything at the rear it WILL effect the front. If it bottems out you need to find out why it could just be settings or it could be a knackered shock (one is free the other is £200+). You may just need a heavier spring but this would worry me as the VFR is designed for touring all up with luggage and therefore should take your weight easy.

Levers and controls I would go to either wemoto.com or david silver both do loads of honda parts. If david silver cant find it then it probably doesnt exist.

So lets have a list of problems and your budget mate (or I will send Big Mark from the Lincs Bombers round to sort you out)

rebuilding and setting up your shock will be £80-100 (they can set for weight, riding style etc), a new Hagon Monoshock is £285...

Brake Lever New is £12.65 (okay not £7.99+3.00)

both the Hagon shock and lever were on wemoto.co.uk

or this place is breaking a VFR750F, they may have everything your after and hopefully all it'll need is a spit and polish...

otherwise find an local/internet breaker, fingers crossed they'll have everything you need..

Hi everyone. I've just been on to David Silver as I can't find a brake pedal anywhere for my bike and they don't have any BUT they are available from Honda at a whopping £114 + VAT.

I don't have that sort of cash normally, particularly just before xmas, so does anyone have any idea what I can do?
