Takanta Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 hi all , ive been thinking of getting a helmet camera to use. As it will be my first time riding a bike since my CBT back in october shortly, want to record it all and maybe do a little vlogging , Ive been looking at the bullet cameras , Does anyone know anywhere that does good deals with cameras above 480TVL quality?or any other recommendations? I would prefer one with a little microphone piece.Ive also been looking at videos on youtube, and it seems a lot of people just use standard digital cameras that are attached to the inside of their helmet with velcro. so does anyone know of any good slim cameras ? preferably less than 200 quid and thinner than 20mm?thanks folks Quote
Petarded Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 It's illegal in the UK to have a camera inside your helmet as far as I'm aware.I think you should concentrate on riding for a while before looking at taking videos. But if you don't care then try http://www.actioncameras.co.uk Quote
bigup Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 have a think mate, £200 is a lot of money to spend on camera imoheres a few to look at:AEE MD80 Original: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AEE-Original-Mini ... 27ad1046ceAEE MD80 Clone: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Micro-DV-HIDDEN-D ... 414c5f4389Veho Muvi (AEE MD80 Rebranded Original): http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-1022.aspxand the extreme sport pack for it: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Veho-VCC-A001-Ext ... 2c50be397dlots of videos of each on youtubeheres a good one of the Veho Muvi from Sven: "> Personally i have just ordered a Veho Muvi from Tesco for local store pickup this evening, for the price vs quality i think its the best, for better quality your looking maybe a GP Pro Hero but imo fot its slightly better performance its not worth the extra money over the Muvi. However if your set on spending £200, then go for the vholdr Contour 720p HD, this thing is awesome, vid: http://www.vholdr.com/contourhd/videos?vid=2Hope that helpsbtw, im no camera expert, ive just been doing some research for the last week as im wanting to buy a cam too. Guest Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Hi everyone......Just thought I'd show you this link, whilst we're on the subject of cams.......http://www.ebuyer.com/product/183959It looks very similar to an AEE MD80 and a Veho Muvi, but a damn sight cheaper.I'm certainly no expert on cams, but it seems ok, especially for the money. Just ordered one to try - seems a cheap option to do my first bit of recording.......Chris Quote
