Hi all, thinking of getting some of these for the bike i'm picking up on Saturday. Its currently got no mirrors at all!

I'm just wondering, are they good enough? Can you see better out of them? I'm assuming they won't be full of elbow hah.

I'm hoping to find something small enough so i can still be confident filtering.

Heres the bike they'll be going on (and i'll be glad to get those bloody purple bar ends off!);

I'd be putting the mirrors on instead of the bar ends (well, if thats possible anyway! I hope the current ones are easy to take off).

I've done a fair amount of research with bar end mirrors as I was after some myself. It seems that they tend to have really cheap glass, so it's not very clear in most models. Also, their fittings are often poor and either fall off, or simply wobble about so much you can't see anything in the mirror anyway.

The ones I found that looked to solve these issues (and that of filtering) are the CRG Hindsight LS mirrors. They also fold in like car wing mirrors, and snap back into place when you need them again. They look great, but aren't cheap. I contacted CRG and was told the only UK distributor was FasterByDesign. Sadly, they haven't returned my calls or emails for weeks, and my package still hasn't arrived. It's a shame really because I really wanted the mirrors, and some shorty levers too.

Definately something to think about.

I'm looking for a quick fix really, as this bike is/was a Kawasaki Ninja, but its been streetfighter'd. I assume that the mirrors attach to the front fairing, which i no longer have lol.

I'm not totally sure of the legality of not having mirrors... I searched the net but found several different answers and a lot of confusion around the matter. Either way, i would much rather have mirrors, absolutely necessary for motorway lane changing in my mind, i wouldn't like to take my eyes off the road for long enough to see if the lane is clear behind me, going 70mph :P

big round light would look better IMO, and get some gloss instead of that RAT Matt Look...

bar end mirrors will fit instead of the bar ends, but you may need to remove the mounts from inside the bars for them to fit.

some are just compressed rubber that squashes as you tighten to provide a good fit, others have a welded in lump to bolt into..

the ends will just unscrew to see whats inside..

Oooh, me likey too xD f**king adore that black and red one! Once i've had the bike for a while, might see if its actually worth doing up like that one, powdercoat the frame and wheels red.... oooh yum.

Waiting for an email back about how adjustable the mirrors i linked are, then i'll probably buy them. Although, hopefully i can find a similar black pair! I hope the angle of the handlebars won't make it weird.

I've used these for about 10 years, never had one break or fall apart let alone move, always get good vision from them.
