Guest
You know when you turn the ignition on, and you watch the little light on the dash that says it is warming the glowplugs?Try this twice.... ie turn key, let glow plugs warm, turn off, turn on, let glowplugs warm ... try to start ...see if it makes a difference. rennie
If it's not the glow plugs it will probably be a blocked fuel or air filter!there's quite a few filters in the fuel lines!Diesels are harder to start than petrols! Is yours the older 1.9 TDI wolfie?I've got a 2.0 HDI now, good engines! Stu
did you get new glow plugs for it ?some diesels pre heating systems work in conjunction with the coolant temparature too so a new coolant sensor maybe in order
cyberwolf
it as new battery.iv got 2 new glow plugs in couldnt get at the other 2 glow plugs as would mean taking of most of the fuel system!stu could be that as im getting warning light flashing on the dash but know idea what the warning light means, doesn't say in the manual
Bill_on_a_bike
If you've got a multimeter you can test glow plug, just check for an ohm reading. It starts on a bump though, which makes me think maybe the starter's a bit weak, does it turn it over fast enough?Easy start is useful stuff but it can and will damage things if its used excessively.
