tuscarora Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Well I just bought a set of leathers and boots from a friend of mine, but unfortunately they are er, a bit massive. Size 48 (I guess I'd be around 32" waist) - is there anything worth doing that could make them wearable? I thought the jacket fitted pretty well, but on reflection back at the house it is also a bit big, but a much better fit than the trousers. They're in pretty good condition and I got them for a song.. would be nice to be able to salvage them! Guest Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 wear lots of clothes under neith? lolor theres always ebay, you could try and make a little profit Quote
Guest Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 how much room, try wearing/ fitting a back protector, as that will take up some of the room in the waist and jacket... too loose, and they will ride up in an accident... Quote
Guest Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 You could get em professionally altered. Nothing drastic, just to make them a bit better to wear! Quote
Si 2the Mon Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Leathers are supposed to be very snug around your entire body and basically act as a 2nd skin. As already mentioned, any considerable slack in the leathers and in the event of an accident they can come loose or snag against any material on the road etc i.e. very dangerous. If I were you i'd sell them and put the money towards your own set of CORRECT fitting leathers Quote
TC Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Strange that. My leathers always shrink over the winter. Especailly around the waist Quote
tuscarora Posted April 14, 2010 Author Posted April 14, 2010 I'm gonna sell these leathers on, no point having them if they don't fit! Saw a couple of good deals on eBay, but I think I'm gonna try on some in shops first 'til I find what fits. And er, after having taken my measurements I think a bit of excercising and less chips might be in order before I purchase some!
