Is that the bottom end of the road that collapsed? Was at the top end last year, an amazing sight. And the new pass they made looks a lot like Cheddar gorge

My dad lives in Castleton - its a great place.

If you want a nice road - turn right in the village of Hope, follow signs for Edale. Just keep on that road - it keeps close to the rail way line then turns up a very winding road to the top of Mam Tor (where all the para gliders jump from). At the top you can turn left and come back down the amazing Whinnets Pass and back into Castleton. Alternatively head for Sparrowpit and choose between Buxton and the Cat & Fiddle, or towards Bakewell & Matlock.

Enjoy. :D
