Mod 1 & 2 waiting list?

Im in Dumfries, Scotland and hoping to get through my lessons and tests fairly soon. What sort of waiting time is there on Mod 1 and 2 at the mo? I cant check until Ive passed my theory and got the pass no. etc

Are you training with Rightrider ?

You can usually go through the online booking procedure to see what dates are available.

Got my cbt this saturday and then lessons start after that. Im doing it with a guy called Keith through Dumfries Scooters.

When I go on to the DSA website and go to book the practical for big bike - mod1/2 it asks for licence number and theory test certificate number, without that I cant get to choose test centre / dates.

Ahh i see .. best get the theory test booked and done then.

Mebe Kempie or Iank will try to see if theres a waiting list, i dont think i can cause i already have passed.

Mod 1 can only be done in carlisle btw, youll need a practice at it first too, make sure you get a run on the mod1 paddock before your proper test.

If you follow this link http://www.dsa.gov.uk/AtoZservices_Bann ... &TypeID=17 then choose find your test centre it gives you an approximate waiting period from the start of this week.

Tests Available:

Appointment availability data is produced on Monday each week and is correct at that time.

Car: 5 weeks

Motorcycle Module 1: 8 weeks

Motorcycle Module 2: 1 weeks

Taxi: 2 weeks

Appointment availability is calculated to be when a test centre has at least 10% test appointment availabilty, these figures are only available for full time test centres.

could just be that they dont run tests every weekend......

The school I used has regular bookings with the local test centre, so you don't have to wait for a "free" slot to come up provided you book through them - which I had to do anyway since I was hiring their 500cc bike. I took 3 goes at my mod 1 and only had a week or so between them.
