  1. Well done mate hopefully i will be just as good this wednesday as got my mod 1!!!! Congrats again
  2. Hi i too am needing practise for mod 1 i have been out with my mates (Danny-b- and Iank also on the forum) we went to an old carpark with my bike and set out slalom with gloves and some old bottles which helped practise that and figure of 8. Also practised between two white lines in the carpark for u-turn which i struggled with!! just remember dont look at the lines as you will end up over them try look to where you want to go (easier said than done i think lol). I dont know much about counter stearing but i have practised mod 1 at an actual test centre as well and going 31 mph towards cones trust me you will dodge them!!! its natural to miss an object at that speed i found (ill say that then fail my test hitting it lol) Let us know how you get on mate im sure youll be fine Good luck
  3. I have never heard of this before but it sounds to me as it is the examiner of the mod 2 fault as he/she would have read all the pass certificates and should have told your freind that the test couldnt be sat. What did her riding school have to say about it? I would have thought if you can handle a 500cc bike on mod 1 and pass that you could sit test on 125cc for mod 2. I dont understand why you couldnt!!! I could understand if it was the other way about as the mod 1 is designed to show that you can handle your bike!
  4. Check out safety ratings and info about helmets here http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/ some cheap ones look the part and have good safety ratings....I bought a cheapo just to get through my das which cost me £50 ( the helmet not das) lol
  5. Got another Mod 1 date through (30th june) lets hope and pray that they take me a bike down this time!!!!!!!!! Think ill phone them the day before just to be safe. If all goes well and i pass mod 1 my mod 2 test will be the 15th July so fingers crossed !!!!!!
  6. Hi all i have been looking forward to my module 1 test arrived at test centre today to be greeted by the examiner telling me there is no bike for me to do it on because the useless riding school i am with never bothered to take a bike down for me!!!!! So yes i am RAGING!!!!!!!!!!!! Contacted the riding school and was told that my resit (yes resit without even a first attempt!) for module 1 will be free as will my module 2 test, Which really doesnt help because i have fully paid for my das outright!!!!!! They will obviously have to refund some of my money but how much? i dont know!!! I even had the cheek to ask the examiner if i could do it on his bike but he said no!!! Just checked the website to rebook my mod 1 my self (and later claim money back from the riding school) so that i could get the earliest date!!!! Which is the 20th of July which has made me more angry!!! Its funny all the people (including myself) excited/nervous for mod 1 and then to arrive and there is no bike!!!!! i CANT BELIEVE IT!!
  7. Hi i have recently bought the cyclone c-11 alarm and its got a keyless remote start feature which i am a bit unsure of how to install and could do with advice from peeps that have installed one or know how to install one.(The alarm part is not the problem as this is fairly straight forward). Will be installing into a Suzuki Gs500e. Thanks in advance
  8. WANT TO STAY AWAKE TO READ MOD 1 STORIES ON FORUM BUT KEEP NODDING OFF F**K IT
  9. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully right rider has some block bookings for peeps doing das!
  10. F**K IT Working tommorrow
  11. I turned up late too my cbt to be greeted by the instructor that wasnt to happy, He then took £250 deposit for my das and we went into a little room upstairs where there was 2 other people sitting! I thought it was just me Anyway started by showing us clothing and helmets and explaining what we where going to be doing which all sounded so simple. Out on the yard (that was tiny!!!) he showed us the bikes controls and stuff and for the other boy the scooter controls. Next thing up was taking bike off and on stand (simple so far) and after that the scooter boy went round in circles on his twist and go like he been riding for years! (he was only 16). Now the turn of the woman that was going on 125, She also took to it working that clutch like a dream which was the point i thought id do well too......Well my turn clutch in.. into gear...rev a little.....moving moving.... too many revs now as my hand is moving its self and my fingers are pulling and letting out clutch there selves too! I just couldnt do it! was really getting mad until 15 mins trying and everyone laughing (including me) i done it i was going in circles yippppeeee lol Done figure of 8 (wobbly but done it) emergency stop and a u-turn which were ok but not perfect! Now time for class work learning about junctions and road possition then off to lunch at about half one. Two o'clock we resumed and i was told i had to wait an hour because legally he could only take two people out at once! i was gutted sitting there when they where away on the road. An hour and a half later they came back and it was my turn OH boy did the nerves just kick right into action heavy breathing and all! woo i was SH*t%NG my self. Got on bike and started like i was taught and got in gear looked in mirrors done all lifesavers everything and moved off without a problem (which i couldnt do in the little yard without trouble) took a left at the first roundabout with no problem and then a left up into a country road and was told to get up to speed so i did got up to 50 i then was told to slow down as we where leaving scooter boy behind oops done a utrn on road and emergency stop and headed back to drop scooter boy off and pick up the woman who was waiting for us to get her as she had to go back out on road for u turn and emergency stop. After picking woman back up and going out again we arrived back at the cbt training place we both were presented with certificates i was surprised i passed as i thought my show in the moring was going to ruin my chances of passing even tho i was good on the road. I asked the instructor what i should be working on to make it easier for continuing das and he said everything as i was SH*TE (his exact words lol) in the morning with my slow speed control. BUT I PASSED !!! CBT PASSED 23RD APRIL 2010 YIPPEEEE
  12. I PASSED CBT? YES THATS RIGHT I WAS SH*TE BUT I PASSED! Struggled on low speed manouvers (<---spelling crap) But once on the road i was BORN TO BE WILD (well i was ok anyway) I will post my experience in more detail in the other thread but just want to say i CHUFFED AS F_C*!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Save up that fluff Danny cos you never know! You recon it will be alot more than 10 weeks i take it? Keeping in mind I have 4 days a week off work! hopefully I can fill days off up with riding! (motorcycles)
