Drum Brakes?

Ok so i've got front and rear drum brakes on my cg125 copy. .

But there so so so very loose?

I've tightened them up to the point where i probably think they may actually be unsafe so i got new pads for them . went to change

old to new pads but the pads aren't worn at all compared to the new ones.

what can i do ?

a friend suggested taking this of and moving it to the left a little. Would this work?

When i say this i dont mean the nuts to tighten the chain i mean the break lever thingy behind it. Like take it off and angle it more.

help would be much appreciated.

maybe i should of cleaned the bike first before taking photos....

Also how easy/hard would it be to put disc brakes on it ?

I've done what my friend suggested to the back brake and it seems to have worked . though its still not tight. Just the spring isnt compacted to death.

yep that works, but remember to return to normal when fitting new pads.. otherwise they might not fit. or be on when off.
