pete_m_j
Hi guys, can you help. Bandit 650 s k8, at 40 ish mph the handle bars will gently wobble by about 1 inch, (not a vibration), back and forth from left to right. You only see it if you have a really loose grip. At about 55 to 60 it seems to go, and over 60 solid as a rock. Below 40 nothing also.Don't know if its tyre, or wind or something else.Bike is new to me and it does have a new front bridgestone.Advice is always welcomed please

fazerboy
you sure the tyre is new?could be a worn tyre, incorect inflation, lost balance weight...take it to a garage and just get em 2 check it for you.
Grumpy Old Git
Definately a balance problem - Take the wheel to a garage and get it checked. Also check for uneven tyre wear.
Anthony
i know what you mean, i had that feeling on my bandit6, turned out to be a slightly deflated tyre and worn head bearings, cheap fix and brought the bike back to life. Its an un-nerving feeling so get it sorted before the summer "thrash" in the sun xD
Jimmi_929RR
Another vote for steering head bearings. Had the same problem on my Bandit and it was this- especially noticeable if you take your hands totally off the bars.

Guest
.................. would a steering head bearing be warranty on an 08 bike ? might be worth checking with your local dealer.....
