Battery Display Reading 11.5

Recentely got my bike running again which turned out to be a stuck starter motor.

I have charged the battery up and it reads between 11.5 - 11.8 with the ignition on, the electric start works fine and starts the bike up easily.

At idle the reading is the same as ignition on 11.5 to 11.8.

Then revs held at 5k, slowly goes up to 13.5 to 14.0

Then when put back down to idle, it goes back down to 11.5 to 11.8

Can anyone shed any light on this.

Mine will read 13-14 at idle and 12.3 standing(no ignition).

If your only concerned is when your ignition is on(not started) but it holds a charge and charges,is it not just the fuel pump priming or ecu or lights taking up a bit of power?

I'm just concered at idle reading below 12v, this normally means the battery is not getting charged, and with me owning a 2 stroke it is idling alot to get it to temperature.

The battery was only bought 4 months ago, but I have lost the receipt, so going be arsey and pushy to try and get a new battery and hope that reads better

with the ign on and the bike not running it might well show just below 12 volts as the neutral light and oil light will be drawing power but the reading you are getting at revs is about right to get an odd reading like like you are is not likely the battery having a problem as each cell of the battery is 2 volts
