wannars125 Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Hi All, first post in a while...The bike is now of the road for the winter and waiting in the parents garage for me to work on ready for next year.Question is, can anyone give advice (maybe email me a copy of the brakes section from the Haynes manual?!?) on the abs brakes on a Bandit K6 - how to remove, clean, replace pads etc). The stupid official haynes manual for the K6 doesn't have any details on the ABS brakes so I think I may have to invest in the later model Haynes just for this. Grrrr!Cheers! Quote
Stu Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 the ABS is only that extra little wire that you can see with a sensor everything else should be the same just be sure not to twist the wire or damage the sensor or wiring Quote
flipper Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Certainly the caliper end of the brakes is the same as the non ABS version, but bleeding an ABS system is a right pain as you have extra hoses and a hydraulic control unit to contend with. Quote
andyc Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 No help on the Haynes manual, but I if you need a hand give us a shout Quote
