nman1 Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 tut tut, 6"`s mere boys.Aaron, this has now been the fourth day OFF the bike so I`m missing the ride into work but feck that in this weather Car was in the ditch this morning surrounded by police cars as I passed it on the BUS. Quote
Guest Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I saw four accidents on the way to work yesterday morning, two as I joined the A1, two on the A14, including a car on it's roof.I also saw a few motorbikes out, including a brave chap on a scooter in sawtry, front wheel making a slight "bow wave" through the slush. Rather him than me! Quote
nman1 Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I saw a few bikes parked on the market square in St. Ives where I park mine. I`m guessing they were on short journeys and quick to get home. I still would not risk it knowing I have 7 miles to do and it could snow in the 9 hours I`m away from home. Quote
Seabluegal Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 As regards riding bikes in this weather, Balderstons have been open throughout and Ben has been test riding bikes every day this week... Clearly I haven't been on my bike since October. Quote
Guest Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Everywhere is fine for me on the journey to work.....apart from the culdesac and uphill road - both of which are sheet snow/ice. it's fun in the car, would be suicidal on bike! Quote
acemastr Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Want to give it a run, when i start it up the clutch makes a funky noise, guessing it's drying out and needs a run to sort. My road is sheet ice, everywhere else is fairly ok but there's no way i'm risking dropping it Quote
