mealexme Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 After washing bike and car the night before the big freeze, don't leave keys in ignition (this is only the third time i have ever done this), as keys will be frozen in in the morning... just Aswell i was planning on walking today, just managed to get them out but no way they would have turned. Guest Hodgy Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Get some silicone spray, Halfords sell it, and spray into the locks after you wash the bike and car, or after it's got a soaking in the rain, this will keep them from corroding and freezing, WD40 works too, but the affect doesn't last as long Quote
mealexme Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 i got some WD40 might go use it in a bit. dont need the bike today though, just need to remember not to wash it when its gunna freeze over Quote

They just need to pour warm water on the roads? Pouring warm water gets rid of ice by melting it, though that water is then liable to stay and refreeze.Adding salt/grit lowers the freezing point of water, a preventative. One's a solution to get rid, one's a preventative, completely different things...
