donhuzayfa Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Hi,I have a kymco kr 125 sport, made by hondas partner, my motorbikes clutch works fine, but at times it gets stiff and wont move into neutral or gear down, even if i put my bodyweight down on it, and the same when pulling up, other times (when driving) its the most smoothest changer, but say i stop at a traffic light and gear down to get into neutral itll just go into first, and wont come up at all or will go into second, so i have to keep my clutch in even at the traffic light (my fingers are gonna fall off soon.lol) As far as i can tell this happens mostly when at a complete stop, except once or twice when it jammed up mid-road which was very scary!! it just wouldnt go into second, it felt like i was in the last gear and there was no more gears upward, even hard pressure pushing upward didnt help, ...and then miraculously after a bit of clutch-bashing its smooth again?? I am completely new to bikes, and the bike was second hand, havent had it more than a few months, any ideas guys?? please help. thx Quote
stevie16v Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 try releasing the clutch slightly, just til it begins to bite. or give the throttle a little blip when applying pressure Quote

Danny-B- Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 sticking a bit ... as above, when it gets like that you need to slightly release the clutch to biting point and it will clunk into gear. Some bikes are a pig to get into neutral, sometimes easier to just turn the bugger off then slip it into neutral. I never use neutral unless im stopping the bike ... at traffic lights etc its always in first and me holding onto the clutch ready to set off... thats normal ... Quote
