collier32
i have been looking at back protectors by Forcefield not sure which to get my 1 piece leathers have got a foam pad in the back which could be replaced with a forcefield upgrade insert or should i be looking at getting a separate back protector
Guest Hodgy
I've got the Forcefield seperate protector, it's very comfy to wear as when it gets warm it moulds to the contours of your body. The drawback is that it is something extra to wear, or carry around with you on a hot sunny day off the bike, where as the insert would always be in your jacket, but I suspect it would not give as much protection? collier32
on the Forcefield website it says that they are both level 2 protection
Guest Hodgy
If they both give the same protection, then I would go for the one that fits into the jacket as it's one less thing to have to think about
iiisecondcreep
I think the sperate forcefield back armour offers a greater area of protection ie lower back as well, the insert one doesn't go that far down.
Guest Hodgy
That's a good point, the seperate one goes right down to the top of your bum.
dimmers
for the best protection possible, a separate back protector will be best.i've just recently (last week) bought a forcefield pro sub 4, and its very comfortable, and provides a lot of protection.only thing i would say if you go with a separate back protector, is to try them on in the shop before you buy, as some of them are quite thick and might not fit under your one piece.
