Guest Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I have just started a new job and am going to start riding my bike to work. I wear some smart jeans to work but they will not offer me any protecting if the worst happens. Ideally I need some bike trousers I can pull over my jeans that will offer some protection. Water proof would be nice but not essential. Really some after skid protection.I have got draggin jeans that I normally wear but can't wear them at work. Thanks Quote

sparkeh9 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I wear an IXS 2 piece to work, go over my jeans and inside my boots, and zip into my jacket. Quote

mattneighbour Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I've been commuting to work since I passed my test last July. I have a tailpack that I transport my sarnies and normal trousers in and I simply get changed at work. I leave a pair of trainers there so I don't have to wear my boots all day. Quote
Guest Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I wear whatever under my textile jacket and trousers. Wear full overalls at work to stop the inside of my gear getting crappy after work. Leave boots and trainers etc at work as well. Also leave a rain jacket and a fleece at work too. Quote
Nogin Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I just carry my work trousers on my tank bag and then change when I get there. Quote
megawatt Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I wear Richa overtrousers, waterproof and great padding at knees and hips. I wear trousers under em in winter, no probs. Quote
Edgey Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I have these and they go over my jeans. Really comfortable and waterproof.Boothy +1 to the Spada Flage. I have managed to fit jeans and trackies under them in the freezing weather, didn't need it mind and was swetting my balls off. Quote
Guest Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Thanks everyone. I ended up getting Spada Summit Textile Trousers from ghost bikes. Will see how they go. Quote
Guest Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 +2 to the Spada Flage textiles.Although, don't get them from Ghostbikes, look for them on eBay and get them from a seller called NickNoble. His customer service is second to none, has been in the business for years and years, and after meeting him in person, he is a thoroughly nice bloke. And its the same price as ghostbikes! And delivery, WILL be next day. Everything i have ever ordered from him has been delivered the next morning. Quote
