I cant imagine why not, but it depends on the output of the battery, the power consumption of the grips and how much power a 125 alternator generates to charge the battery.

Yes it should be fine. To help the battery you could always connect it up to a trickle charger.

Make sure you wire it up to the ignition so it cant be left on, otherwise it will deffo drain the battery, mighty inconvienant whan that happens (ie right when you dont need it to lol)

There are now a product by oxford which are specifically designed for 50-250cc bikes, called Oxford Hot Grips Lite i think - try eBay. They are below £50.

Got the standard oxford grips on mine, seemed alright but it did develop a habit of conking out at junctions...


I would look into the lite grips

Cheers for that link Dan - I had terrible circulation and they could just help! :D


As a side note though, on my YBR you can't turn off the headlights - they're on as soon as you turn the ignition on! :roll: It's a PITA when you've had to kickstart the bike & you're trying to charge it after not using it for a while! :lol:
