Exhaust leaking?

When I first saw the mess on my bike a while back I thought it was from an oil change or something, however today I needed to charge my battery up because it's flat. I disconnected the battery and noticed fresh oil on the back and top of it, it looks like my exhaust pipe is leaking a little bit. I'm thinking because I'm missing one of those metal coils around the join area however I'm not 100% sure, here is an image:

Can somebody confirm what my problem may be?

The bike is a Yamaha DT 125 R

Looks like your right. Is the bike under warrenty? If not you could always either look for a dealer nearby that specialises in that make of bike, (possibly ebay but i'd be doubtful) or you could get away with using a small "C" clip.

To make sure that it is that that's causing the problem, clean the area up, then run the bike for a few mins in the garage/drive while watching the suspect area. If the oil starts bubbling out of the link, then you know what you need to do.

I can't fathom that picture? Is that a part of the exhaust in the picture. Is it a two stroke. ???

Yup that's the exhaust. By the looks of it the pipe on this one runs under the seat. That join is where the can (and a short length of pipe that's attached to it) joins the main length and barrel of the pipe, you can see in the pic below.
