sam64 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Pissed off bike has just failed mot . headlamp aim beam kicks up to offside should be an easy fix. Not so i have a custom front end the headlights dont have any means of adjustment going to have to adjust the hole front end some how. anyone got any tips for getting them set-up. Quote
Stu Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 you will pass with a bit of tape correctly placed on the headlight to stop it shining up on the offside Quote
Fozzie Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 What bike is it?Also a close up picture would be nice Quote
Colin the Bear Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Everything will adjust. You just need a big enough hammer Quote
caretaker Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 sounds like you need to turn internals of headlight upside down then so it kicks off to nearside low! Quote
cyberwolf Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 sounds like you need to turn internals of headlight upside down then so it kicks off to nearside low! its not the internals thats the prob its the lens and most of them cant be turn upside down.i would do as stu said thats all i did on my last bike and it pass its mot no probs Quote
Stu Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 turning the lens upside down will make the light pattern wrong i will put money on the headlight been off an import bike or the bike is an import as i said you can put a piece of black tape on the headlight to stop it kicking up park in front of a wall and do it you only need a little bit of tape about half an inch by one and half inch to sort it Quote

Colin the Bear Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Having a screw loose seems to be a common occurrence on tmbf Quote
