alol74
Recently bought a Renntec rack for my Bandit 600N - http://www.renntec.co.uk/suzuki_gsf600n ... ck_carrier all looks fine, mounted it on the bike no problem, but discovered that it says that the top weight to be carried on it is 2.5 kilos ! A google search has revealed that it CAN break and it DOES sometimes... So my question is - has anyone got any experience with it, any stories ? And if it s for 2.5 Kg load... what on Earth would I use it for ? A pack of sugar ?
AdeyT
My bike came with a Renntec rack and is very sturdy looking, approx 10mm tubular steel fixed on with four bolts, not tested it out but I'm sure it will take lots more weight than that. Mawsley
Had three, loaded to the gills, none have broken. Wasn't aware of a weight restriction and plan to take no notice of it
Hoover
they all have a weight restriction, if you dont load silly weights on it it will be fine, just keep an eye on the bends as thats where they snap, and yes they do as I've had one of my pannier racks re-welded recently.
