Throttled Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) The A2 from Donaghadee to Warren Point. Not as famous, nor a spectacular as the Antrim coast road, but a nice relaxing run particularly at the start and end. The ferry at Portaferry is every half hour and costs £3.50 single for a bike and rider. Newcastle is a good place to stop for a break.http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Don ... ,3&t=m&z=9Ballywalterhttp://farm7.static.flickr.com/6165/6172530179_27e10fb58a_b.jpgMourne Mountainshttp://farm7.static.flickr.com/6171/6173058856_3c8e392f2a_z.jpgWarren Pointhttp://farm7.static.flickr.com/6161/6173059912_187993b130_z.jpg Edited October 2, 2011 by Throttled Quote

Throttled Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 It was one of the very few riding days that I have had which was dry. One disappointment and it was the same during all of my tour in Ireland was that whilst there was no problem finding places to buy potatoes, coal and places to get your car washed at the side of the road, I saw no burger vans at all, anywhere. On a nice day I like a burger van for a cheap snack and to be outside. Quote
GARYJL Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Nice part of the world that, did you go up into the mournes ? Quote
