Guest Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Hi can anyone help? Explain a typical electrical/electronic fault found in a sealed lighting unit, ie Headlight for motorcycle. Quote
mealexme Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Welcome to the forum, say hi in the newbies section if your sticking around.I personally dont know anything about electrics, but what exactly is wrong with it? is it just not working, or is it flickering etc? Tried changing the bulb? lol. It sounds more like an exam questin than your in need of advice. Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 sealed beam type headlight is a light unit that is sealed and you can not get the element out to change it so when it blows the whole glass unit needs to be replaced Quote
Tango Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 No light..... Occasionally the filament can short out.....causing fuses to blow. As EAB says...it's a big bulb...so if it fails you have to replace the whole thing. Quite rare these days I thought....sealed beam units that is..... Quote
