this has been covered before but i cant find it on the search button!

when going down a normal two lane road (traffic on both sides going opposite directions) and the road is muddy/mucky. The cars usually make 2 lanes down either side of the road with the mud/crap all down the middle. my question is when riding along you dont obviously want to ride in this crap as it will be slippery as hell etc. so would you position yourself nearer the centre of the road or nearer the curb?

I like to command the road, so for me i'd in the outside clean bit of road. If i was on a slower bike a might ride in the inside track to allow cars to overtake

I move between both depending on right and left hand bends, pot holes and how wide the vehicle coming the other way is.

:stupid:

I always move to the inside of the lane when big trucks come in the opposite direction. I have done since I was nearly blown off the bike on one of my lessons after a truck went the other way just as I was closing the visor on my helmet

personally I use the right, in the centre to comand the road. Even if I am on a 125, I dont want people trying to overtake me in stupid places
