Kawasaki VN750 or similar

Since my knees aren't gettin any better, was thinkin of buying a V twin cruiser, like a VN 750. Needs to be shaft drive as one day I will convert it to a trike. Lookin at a rather nice, low mileage 87 plate one for about 400/500 quid . Any thoughts, no nos or recommendations??
