Jive Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I have an 05 R6 and noticed tonight the rear suspension felt really spongy and noticed a leak from the bottom of the fairing. Rode it back and felt every bump, the garage floor is covered in fluid. Will have a good look tomorrow in daylight and post pictures but just wondered whether i'm initially looking at a seal or possible new shock? If it is a new shock is it an easy job to do? Quote
megawatt Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Some suspension repair companies can replace seals and re-gas/re-oil your shock. Changing the shock is an easy , but fiddly job. Shocks aint cheap though! Quote
Stu Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Be about 80 quid for a rebuild but will be as good as new Quote
Roadtorque Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 A rebuild is only as good as the person doing it,, I'd go for new,, it's a piece of mind thing,,,,,,,,, Quote
