Has anyone on here had their bike Dyno'd? What was your experience of it?

What's the sort of cost involved?

Any recommended Dyno centres?

Scary stuff seeing a bike do 135mph in a closed caravan !

Does it damage the bike ?

Think it was prob 160 lol, no shouldnt damage it, if it did people wouldnt have it done.

Oh and it pulled 147.06 bhp.

Normally cost about £30 per run, so if you need adjustments, you will need more runs and it costs more money. Yes it can find a fault in your bike if one exists and you never hold the revs at max or get the engine up to full temperature. If your bike is well put togaether and has no pre-existing problems it SHOULD be alright

Nice one.......the vid looks scary.....

I'm just thinking that if I replace the air filter the stock engine map is set to run lean at the bottom end......so I'm concerned that it will end up too lean and cause problems. I've got TuneECU on my laptop...but don't fancy fiddling with the fuel map without a dyno......or better still get someone who knows what they are doing to set it up.

Thanks for the info so far guys....... 8-)

No don't need a power commander with a triumph

You can access the ecu with tuneECU through a diagnostic port one of the few vehicles out there that allow you

Although I'm not sure if tuners have knowledge of them I bet someone will know what they are doing its just finding them

Setup is usually around 200 to 250 quid although I know one guy who sets power commanders up for 100 quid!!

Yeah.....TuneECU is a free program that you can look at the injection maps on Triumphs and some Apprilia's...... 8-) It can also be used for diagnostics and altering stuff like the Fuel and Timing maps...and things like the fan cut in temperature etc......very powerful program..... 8-)

I guess it'll be a case of finding a Dyno that actually supports TuneECU.... 8-)
