DSA Test Review

Recommended Posts

OK so another shake up of the current test format is on its way, no definite time frame yet but the DSA are saying by 2013...

The long term aim is to provide a single event test that takes place on the road.

The aim is to have module 1 and 2 taken at the same time.

Having the test take place entirely on road rules out the need for MPTCs making the test more accessible for riders and reducing distances travelled.

Hang on, having a bit of deja vu here!

In Nov last year I had the chance to try out the new road based test and provide feedback to the DSA.

Feedback = It's mental!

Slalom and figure of 8 require blocking the road and leaving motorists waiting and watching, and haz avoidance is into oncoming traffic.

I had just passed my mod 1 (literally that morning) but the thought of this new one scared the crap outta me and I was on the closed roads in Caddington DSA centre.
