CAR HELP: Peugeot 107 2008 - Break light problem

I am having another issue with my car and was hoping somebody here might have an answer.

Its a Peugeot 107, 2008 model 1 litre petrol.

We noticed a while ago that one of our break lights on the back is not working. We assumed it was a bulb, but if you SWITCH ON THE LIGHTS and DONT apply the breaks, the same break light which does not work, will work.

Now does this mean theres 2 bulbs in there and one of them has gone? Or do we have a electrics problem? How can I go about fixing this?

These pictures demonstrate whats happening.

I do know that Peugeot's electrics, especially the lights can be a right royal PITA - ask Rennie!!

He probably replaced his headlight bulbs on his 206 six times more often than I have - they were always going pop

Having said that, he's just bought another Peugeot!!
