Guest Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 My helmet is perfect fitting when on, is it normal for it to practically rip my ear and cause it to bleed? my girlfriend is getting annoyed cause she keeps having to patch me up and its annoing me cause it hurts (que puns and humor)LOL Quote
nak Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 That's not good dude. What helmet is it. What is causing the injury. Badly designed padding/stitching? Is it new. Most helmets will give in time.Sounds arsy but you do get what you pay for.Mine is a Shark S900 @ £200 and is very comfy. And manufacturers do vary a little in size (eg. some AVG lids can be really tight) Quote
techno Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 You do get what you pay for, meaning what if you don't spend a fortune expect pain?Op.. you say its perfect fitting but hurts your ear surely those statements contradict each other, I had a shoei felt great but after an houts wearing it crushed my temples, it just had to go.Maybe you will have to find something else? Guest Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 its a G-MAC pilot, it was brand new, it was given to me by a motorbike place, what i mean is its ok putting it on and wearing it, taking it off causes the problem, haven't nailed the problem.I paid £0.00 for it, but was brand new, out of a box.Just wondering if anyone else had had this problem? Guest Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I almost know what you feel. My ears keep far apart so taking off helmet isnt nicest experience. Easy remedy. Just use thin silk balaclava. Quote
klingelton Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 maybe this is why the helmet was free - because at the factory, they mistook an order for foam with an order for razor blades. Quote
Ninereeds Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 medwards im in sort of the same boat as you. my helmet fits great when its on, but getting it on is a bit of a squeeze. when i was wearing an ear piece for my lessons it could be kinda tricky getting it on without pulling the earpiece off. once the padding gives a bit with wear though i think it should be fine.
