Specifically has anyone used a satnav or smartphone to navigate around Cyprus ? My Garmin Nuvi 255 europe maps doesn't cover Cyprus & I've read the Cyprus maps from Garmin only cover the main roads & I will want to go off the beaten track. I'm thinking is the cost of satnav maps better used on a smart phone which will have satnav software ? But I don't own a smart phone so this is new territory for me. I've searched on the forum and bluetoothing to a headset using a smartphone sounds handy which is something my garmin won't do. Thanks in advance. Also I have an old Navman F20 which again the europe maps don't cover cyprus but its so old now if anyone has a map for cyprus for it I can cross your palm with silver

Are you going on your own? Sounds coool - how are you gonna do it all? Haven't heard much about motorbike travels - like where you stay, how you choose your destination, how you get there and back etc. Good luck Team Fortress Dude

BikerMoo,

we've just returned from Cyprus as pedestrian tourists, I'm planning next years trip, again as a flight tourist but renting a bike when we get there. The next bike trip for me is Germany in May.

Tango I've read your review thread and its looks like something I'd deffo use, but, their site lists pretty much all of the EU except Cyprus, on their website faq the question of when will they have Cyprus maps has already been asked with the response " we hope to have Cyprus maps later this year " If that happens then I'll buy it

Just checked Garmin MapSource and their maps only cover the main roads on Cyprus.

Buy a local map (and a compass!!) and explore - it's amazing the interesting places you can get to without really trying......

Enjoy it and treat as 'an adventure'

I used google navigator on my s2 for the first time on friday night and it seemed really good.

What's also good about google maps/navigator is that you can preload areas so you don't have to use a data connection when over there.
