katchin Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Hi, I just bought my son a second hand Suzuki EN-2A 125. It has just had an mot today, and a service, but driving it home this evening we found the throttle was sticking in lower gears and neutral, any easy fix for this? Quote
Tango Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 As it's just been serviced I'd take it back to the garage to get them to sort it out...... Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 try lubricating the cables if it had been stood or not used for a while might just need luubing up Quote
megawatt Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Could be crap between handlebar and throttle tube. Remove tube, clean it inside, clean handlebar, replace. Could be stiction at carb end. Unscrew top of carb where throttle cable enters, clean carb slide and inside of carb, rebuild. Quote
pointblank0 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Also, try loosening the bolt that holds the bar end on. Sometimes the grips slide along slighty and cause friction between the bar ends and the end of the grip rubber. Quote
