kendingle Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Got my theory test on Thursday at 6pm.Got a few DVLA motorcycle theory test apps. Doing ok on those so fingers crossed should be ok. What is the awareness test like? Quote
Bogof Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 What is the awareness test like? It's awful. I hate it. Passed it first time for A1, failed first time for ADI. Damn those sheep!Just click every time you see a DEVELOPING hazard, and not when you see a POTENTIAL hazard. To put it another way, treat the mouse button as a brake lever. Click every time something on screen would make you brake, and not when it would make you cover your brake just in case...Example: A car approaching a junction ahead and to your left is a POTENTIAL hazard. A car exiting a junction ahead and to your left is a DEVELOPING hazard. And lastly, if you see sheep, DO NOT RELAX. There are more ahead! Quote
Tango Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Good luck with that Keith....hope it goes OK...... Quote
CGD217 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Good luck I always found the questions easy but struggle on the hazard perception on both my car and bike theories. Can see the hazard just to early. Oh well bogof has given some great advice, wish someone would have explained it to Me like that Quote

Oh well bogof has given some great advice, wish someone would have explained it to Me like that So click on each developing hazard twice, which equates to BRAKE (click), BRAKE HARDER (click) and maybe even BRAKE RELEASE (click). Doing this on each developing hazard shouldn't trigger the "cheat" routine, but should enable you to score on each clip. Quote
kendingle Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 Went yesterday to Ilford test centre. There must be a lot of pizza delivery jobs going. It was full.Turns out the national computer network had crashed and the online testing was down. Cancelled and bumped.Gutted. Even had the poxy afternoon off work. They could have called me but someone decided it was too much hassle and easier to tell us on the door. Quote
mealexme Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 To put it another way, treat the mouse button as a brake lever. Click every time something on screen would make you brake, and not when it would make you cover your brake just in case... thats the best description I have heard. I got really confused about when to click. I kept clicking when I saw people on the pavement etc And lastly, if you see sheep, DO NOT RELAX. There are more ahead!Lol Quote
