Ninereeds Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 The problem is that its snapped in half Idiot me tried riding off before taking the disc lock off (yeah i know, havnt stopped kicking myself. Worst part is my new disc lock with reminder cable is due to arrive soon) Rode about half a foot, and BANG stopped dead and bike toppled over. picked it up, looked it over and saw the footpeg and front brake lever snapped off, brake looked fine in the dark though so rode home but the ABS light never went out. I've replaced the lever and will order some footpegs soon, but I've just taken the caliper off to have a look and seen that its snapped in half.its snapped just below the lower bolt hole. I was pretty lucky i rode all the way home (20 odd miles) and only when rolling backwards into my drive did one of the pads fall out and leave me with no useable front brake. my questions are, where can I get a replacement? and What is it called so i know what to ask for? I could take it down to honda, but after paying through the nose for a lever last time, i hate to think what theyll charge me for this, even at "mates rates". I thought i had seen a few sites posted on here that did loads of spares for bikes, but i cant find anything at the moment, and google isnt turning much up.or, anyone got some metal machining equip that could make me one up? thanks in advance! megawatt Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Try a forum then eBay first, if nothing suitable then try breakers. Very few, new, Honda parts are reasonably priced. Quote
