What did you do to clean up the engine?....and what forks are those?...look a bit like the Speedie ones.....

The engine was a nightmare to do, basically I degreased it using Gunk and some aircraft engine cleaner I had, and then a rotary brass wire brush and several days work. Then I painted it with Halfords metallic black engine paint, which is a kind of grey, and silver engine paint.

The forks are R1 forks with an XJR 1300 front wheel, hence the home made spacer to replace the speedo drive.

Thanks Dave.....I wondered if you'd had the engine vapour cleaned or likewise.......but it was pure elbow grease.....kudos mate.....
