Gazza7682 Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Hi all.As some of you know I am restoring a Suzuki GS125 (1987 year) as it is an older bike I am struggling to find certain parts. I am checking also with a local Bike dealer what he can get but it would be nice to compare. So just wanted to know if any of you knew of a website/dealer that sells older model bike parts? Also need some advice regards speedometers, is it possible to put a universal one on the bike? Only reason I ask is that the dealer told me it is possible to fit but it would not be suited for the bike. Calibration etc.. Is this true? Thanks in advanceGareth Quote
Mr Fro Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Hey Gazza, have you tried Wemoto? They're pretty good for generic spares. As for the speedo, ebay or auto jumbles are probably your best bet for an OEM one. If you just need one to get you by then you can always slap a bicycle one on. I've got a 5 quid Halfords one on the track bike which does the business quite nicely. Quote

megawatt Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 You should be able to buy an electronic Speedo that gets a signal from a magnet attached to a wheel or sprocket. Quote
