As title says really. My little 125 starts fine 9/10 without the choke but when I do need the choke it won't idle with the choke on, I have to keep revving or will cut out

Once it's started with the choke on can you then turn the choke off and it will idle? And is there more than one position for the choke?......some bikes need full choke to start and then drop them down to half choke to let them warm a bit....and then choke off to ride them.....

no, my bike will start with choke OFF,

it WONT start with choke ON.

i cant even give it any revs without it cutting out with choke ON either.

it has half choke and full choke, half choke works fine.

im not very mechanically minded so i may be a little thick here but should my choke work if the bike is capable of starting without?

It has been relatively mild recently......so it may be quite normal for that bike to start without choke in these conditions.......but I'd ask the dealer to check it at the next service.....just to be sure...... 8-)

I dont know if there is a problem that's the problem?

I'm asking if this is a normal thing or if I need to take it back to the dealer as it's still under warranty

It may or may not be a fault. If the bike starts and runs with half choke, then use half choke.

I'd mention it to the dealer next time I visit for any reason, such as when dropping the bike off for a service, but I'd not make a special trip for it

i dont see no problem, if your bike starts without choke, just leave it to idle to warm up before riding..

I removed the electronic choke from my carb, as my bike starts first kick, everytime, no matter what the weather..

i always allow my bike to idle to warm up.. so a choke is pointless IMO...
