Phooey Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Ok so here we are. The first ride with the RoadHawk on. I can't comment on what the quality is like compared to other cams but I can say it was a piece of cake to set up and get running. It certainly does everything I need it to do. It appears clear enough to see who is at fault in the event of an altercation and clear enough for me to be able to analyse my own riding for the purpose of improving.Sound with the waterproof cap on is not good as you can hear, or NOT as the case may be. Will test next with the other cap.Is it worth the £87 I paid? Yes I think so but would I pay the £150 full price? Not sure that I would.Would appreciate view from other who use a cam as to the quality. "> Quote
Mick 58 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 You've got to be happy with that. I bought my GoPro Hero HD (previous one to the 2 or 3) for £150 a couple of years ago and quality is about the same but sound is much worse than yours. You bought for 87 Pounds??? Bargain!!Here's a vid i took with my GoPro some time ago for you to compare:"> Quote
mealexme Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I have a drift and quality wise its probably in the middle of the two. It depends what you want it for really. The odd thing on youtube or recording for insurance purposes and anything more than the hawk is a waste of money. Quote
Joeman Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Is it worth the £87 I paid? Yes I think so but would I pay the £150 full price? Not sure that I would.Good review. Like I said on the other thread, 150quid for a 720p camera is a bit expensive and you probably would have been disappointed, but for what you paid considering it comes with all the features you wanted, its not a bad deal. Now get out there and make some cool movies!! Quote
JamBerryKing Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 one thing, dont let youtube stabilize the video, i felt sick. Quote
