CBR600f2 Carb Cleaning

So, i want to take my carbs out and give them a good clean as they probably have never been done on the bike so can imagine that full of crap.

Problem is paranoid about attempting it incase i feck i up

Just wondering how easy it is to do?

Ive got a haynes manual and have already done some basic stuff on the bike i.e. Plugs, oil change & filter, air filter, rec/reg and CCT.

Would prefer to do it myself rather than put it into a garage so i can get to know the bike and save on £££

Thanks

if it is running properly and the throttle isnt sticking then i would just leave well alone the inside of them do not get full of crap unless its been left standing and the petrol has gone off and gelled up.easy way to chekc is look at the base of the float bowl you will see a drain screw there to drain the carbs and that will pull any crap out that is in the bottom of them.

I just drop a bottle of carb clearner into the tank about every 6 months (or when i haven't used it for a few months) and go for a blast it tends to keep it running ok.

Not sure if it actully does anything but the bike runs fine
