honda cbr 125 brake pad change

Ive just changed my front brake pads and now i have to pull the brake almost all the way in to get it to kick in, it stops me much better without any squealing etc but i still think its not right that i have to pull the lever until its almost touching the handlebar. What could i have done wrong or forgot to do to cause this?

used genuine Honda pads, nothing leaked out, and no bits left over.

i did have a little trouble pushing the pistons back in so i used a bit of force on them after a quick clean.

Ooh, could be that one of your pistons got stuck when you forced them back in (if you've rulled out GoGs points).

Have you tried repeatedly (and quickly) pumping the lever to see if you can free it up?

Should never need to 'force' the pistons back in - steady pressure should be all that is required.

Pumped the brake lever a lot yeh and took it a quick run along my driveway while braking. When i say force it was steady pressure but i had to put a lot of steady pressure into it, like as much as i could. I will take the caliper off again later and see if the pistons come all the way out.
