After my accident a couple months back i'm almost ready to get back on the bike. But some of my gear is slightly damaged.

Now it's only my jacket and over trousers that i commute with so i don't really have to worry about how they look. But on the trousers there is a hole that goes through to the armour, now it's only about 1cm round but i will need some form of waterproof fabric i can stick a few layers on with. As for the jacket the stitching on the right arm has ripped where i slid down the road now i plan on stitching this together but can anyone recomend a thread of sorts to use?

I could replace these if i had to but as the damage is so minor i think it would be a waste of cash especially as i am el skinto!

I used leather thread on my gloves last year when they started falling apart and they're still good. Only cost a couple of quid from a haberdashers.

For the hole, how about one of those iron on patches that mums used to use when the kids made holes in their jeans? Few stitches round the outside to make sure and bobs yer uncle. :-)
