Guest Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Hello everyone just joined and basically want to learn about bikes but have absolutely no experience either working on them or driving. Have quite a bit of experience dealing with cars and also have quite a bit of equipment in the garage to help with any build, compressor for spraying etc. I can get a Honda nsr 80 frame with the majority of the parts included for about £150. What i am worried about is because everything is already stripped off and i have not dealt with bikes before i am not going to be sure exactly how everything goes back together.http://www.adverts.ie/car/honda/other-h ... urce=emailAdvert link above with pictures of parts. It wouldn't be a road bike anyway just for use on private property. With some online reading to learn about building it aswel as an owners manual is this a do-able task or am i realistically going to be a bit out of my depth? Quote

Joeman Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Those bikes are so easy to work on, you won't have any problems mechanically, just make sure they are not stolen!! Quote
keith565 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 welcome, sorry can't help with the build, i'm strictly a garage man myself. Quote
Tango Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Welcome to TMBF Mate....... Yeah.....could be interesting trying to get it all back together..... As Joeman says, probably best to do some checks first to make sure none of it is stolen..... Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 parts are not that easy to find either and with only one carb and one set of clocks they are 2 major pieces you would have trouble finding unless spending lots of money Quote
