Adam Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I noticed the other day when I pull my front brake it doesn't engage smoothly, the best way to describe how it feels is it's like a kangaroo hopping. I did notice the other day when I had the wheel off that the pistons in the caliper weren't pushed out equally so do they need a rebuild? If so is it an easy job to do? Cheers Quote
Stu Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 is it constant when you are braking? if so it sounds like you have a warped/bent disc Quote
Ricky Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Mine does the same, and it only does it when I'm coming to a complete stop eg, traffic lights? Quote
Adam Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 Only at slower speeds exactly as Ricky has said.. Quote
mealexme Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I'd say warped disk too. A warped disk will give the sensation of the brake lever pulsating. Does that sound about right? If you have some brake cleaner lying around, it may be worth cleaning them before you do anything else. I doubt it will fix the issue, but its alway worth making sure things are maintained perfectly before replacing bits and pieces. Quote
Adam Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 Yeah that does describe it to a T Alex, I was hoping it wouldn't be the disc Quote
